Classmates Online Inc. leaving Renton for Elliott Ave.
Classmates Online Inc., which operates the class reunion website Classmates.com, is moving its 239 employees from its longtime base of Renton to the Seattle waterfront.
Classmates has been a subsidiary of United Online Inc., of Woodland Hills, Calif., since 2004. But it has maintained operations in Renton, where it was founded in 1995.
Classmates said the move would help it to expand and hire.
“We see our new corporate office as another asset to help attract top talent and provide a great working environment for our employees,” said Steven McArthur, president of Classmates Online Inc., in a statement.
