A lot has been written about Google’s new web browser Chrome over the past few days. Given the central importance of the browser to user experience, the introduction of Chrome is one of the most interesting, exciting and ominous developments in Internet history. On Tuesday, I posted a look at Chrome and Google’s motivations for releasing their own browser.

On our WebmasterRadio.fm show Webcology, co-host Dave Davies and I dig deeper into Google’s motivation for releasing Chrome. One of the interesting things about Chrome is how small it is and how few resources it needs to run properly. Clearly, Chrome was designed with an eye on the future, mobile search.

Cindy Krum is the world’s true experts in mobile search. We sought her opinions on Chrome and how it fits with Google’s collaburative open source cell phone initiative Android.
