Have you read the latest Google blog from the Official Google Webmaster Central Blog? If you are not, you better take a look at it. It has a latest post titled “Discover your links” talking about a new feature from Google webmaster central. It has a clear definition of links. The post has mentioned a new feature which gives us a closer look at both external and internal links of a site. The information comes in a bit details of the links. It tells you when they crawled your links together with all the backlinks that point to any of your pages. It also gives you the chance to export the information into a file that you can download. Currently you can download 1 million links at maximum in an exportation.

Email marketing is still considered a way of content distribution even though people have a misunderstanding on it. I had came across a lot of people they claimed themselves as Internet Marketing Professional saying that Email marketing has a very bad reputation and suggesting people not to include it in their internet marketing campaign. I can tell you they have never been even just a second into Email Marketing industry. This is definately a rumor that they just heard from someone in any other forum without digging a bit in this industry.
There are several types of email delivery includes Direct Mailing, Opt-In based (retention based), Permission based. Opt-In based and Permission based has high rates of reading and responding while some of the direct mailing based has a very low rate under 5% of responses. So, why people would think of Email Marketing is not a good tool to market their products because there are big bunch of bad marketers around the world sending unsolicited direct mailing to people each day. Actually, it is just a problem of how people use it instead of the tool itself. They can also do the same thing to search engine optimization area to spam the SERP each day until we need to have certain level of filtering to get the results that we want.

Email Marketing have been a long history in internet marketing. Before 1998, the time SEO was born, when it came to talk about online marketing or internet marketing, email marketing should always come first in our minds. Despite email spamming, it is still a good tool to deliver your products to the client’s Inbox. It’s a form of direct marketing so that the direct marketing players have been including email marketing as part of their service since it was born. So, what do we need to know about email marketing as a marketer? I try to list the points that you have to pay attention to if you are going to buy such service.
Mailing List - Two types. 1. you provide your list to the email marketing service provider. 2. you have no such list and want to buy or rent the list from them. If you are going to purchase from them please request for a report about the source and history of the list data. They might be coming from random pickings online or from a CD which is selling down the street for US10! The life time of a mailling list normally expires after 1 year they were being captured. Getting to know if the list are permission based or you are gonna be another unsolicited email spammer! Also getting to know the nature of the list.

I have been testing a few sites using Joomla! 1.0.11 and Drupal 4.7.4 as their CMSes, trying to check out their SEO performance with their corresponding components and modules. Drupal had done a great job with its superior internal link flowing structure. It has been working with Google, Yahoo and MSN with great fun while its counterpart still striving for getting indexed!
